I think a resume is needed because who am I? Therapy can be more difficult to access in LGBTQIA2S+and BIPOC communities due to a number of reasons. First the patriarchy, second, capitalism, third, colonization, fourth, racism, and so many more I can name. Finding people who look like you can be hard. Psychotherapy in the US was built from European descendants. Yes, I learned from those theories AND I have found creative ways to unlearn and restructure framework that supports you. Hence, community is so important. We cannot do this work nor survive alone. Lived experience is also where it's at. I have it. I am queer (always gender questioning), pansexual and in relationship with a my long term partner, female identifying. I am also multiracial - African American, French/Irish/German and Native American.

Therapy can be a lot of things and I believe community is one of them. Trusting in the work, trusting me (just a bit) and trusting yourself most importantly will give your the results you want, need and desire.
